Support - We pride ourselves on providing timely and informed responses to emerging problems and concerns that effect our membership while also addressing long term and systemic issues. Whether this support takes the form of research, advocacy, convening and facilitation, or engagement on special or specific topics, we always have out member's interests at heart.
Insurance - We provide members cost-effective and comprehensive health, liability and general insurance packages and we continually to work with our insurance providers to keep costs down and improve coverage.
Research - Our office staff and research consultants continually produce timely and thorough research and reports to keep our members informed and able to understand and respond to a wide gamut of sector issues and concerns. Recent work has focused on resolving issues with the Healthcare Benefits Trust (HBT), the implementation and ongoing funding of Municipal Pension Plan (MPP) and the creation and implementation of a new provincial Integrated Case Management system (ICM).
Advocacy - We are strong, informed, and effective advocates on everything from government policy, practice change and service delivery, funding issues and social change. We are a powerful, professional and practical voice for BC’s community social services.
Business Practices - We continually promote fair and respectful procurement and business practices with funders and we maintain a strong working relationship and maintain a position of influence with key government ministers, MLAs, opposition critics and senior officials.
