Membership Categories

Our membership is made up of over 130 community agencies from all across BC. Members enjoy the benefits of shared resources, collaborative efforts, public policy advocacy, and access to current information and provincial decision makers. We also offer members comprehensive health, liability and general insurance packages.

Full (voting) members include agencies and organizations that provide direct services to children, youth, adults and families in British Columbia. The membership year is from April 1 to March 31. Dues are based on member agency's total operating budget (one-tenth of 1% of the total agency budget). Minimum dues are $250.00 and maximum is $3,500.00 dollars. JOIN NOW

Associate (non-voting) members include local, provincial, national and international organizations that support the goals of the Federation formally or provide indirect services to children, youth, adults and families (e.g. BC Foster Parents Association and UVic School of Child and Youth Care). Associate membership dues are $200.00 annually. JOIN NOW

Associate (non-voting) members also include individuals, who have been identified as having made a substantial contribution to the sector but who are not affiliated with an agency or organization that would be eligible for membership. Individuals may contact the Federation to discuss eligibility. Individual members may be recommended by the Membership Committee and then approved by the Board. Associate membership dues are $200.00 annually. JOIN NOW

Honorary (non-voting) members include individuals and teams that have made an outstanding contribution to the Federation or the field either over time or through a focused project or initiative. Recipients of our Award for Excellence are also awarded an honorary membership. There is no application process for honorary membership - they are proposed by the Membership Committee and ratified by the Board.
